Sale includes leading trade show and educational properties
F+W, A Content + eCommerce Company announced today the sale of its World Tea Media properties, including the industry’s leading trade show, World Tea Expo, the North American Tea Championship (NATC), and World Tea Academy (WTA), the leading online tea education and certification program.
Jim Ogle, Acting CEO of F+W said of the sale, “When F+W acquired the World Tea properties in January 2012 we set our sights on healthy beverage, coffee, and food markets. However, our core competency has been and will remain in our enthusiast, niche communities. We know the World Tea brand and our team is going to be a great fit with our colleagues at Penton.”
As a result of the sale, members of the F+W team will join Penton effective at close. “We will miss our coworkers, but wish them well, and know they will have great success as World Tea Expo is sure to become a staple of the Penton portfolio,” Ogle added.
